Updated waste collection schedule for Easter week

The Region of Durham has announced some important updates as the Easter holidays approach, to ensure a smooth waste collection experience for residents.

Affected areas include Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog and Uxbridge.

Residents who normally receive waste collection on Fridays are reminded that due to Good Friday, waste collection will take place on Saturday, April 19 instead.

Meanwhile, the City of Oshawa said there will be no waste collection service on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Friday collections move to Saturday, April 19, and for the week of April 21, collection is one day later than usual.

The Town of Whitby said there is no waste collection service on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Waste collection for Friday, April 18 and the week of April 21 to April 25 has been moved one day after the regular pick-up day.

Waste Management Facilities and Household Special Waste Depot

The Regional Waste Management Facilities in Brock, Scugog and Oshawa, and the Household Special Waste Depot in Clarington, will be closed Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19. Regular operating hours will resume Tuesday, April 22.
