Some 330 tickets were issued by the Traffic Safety team at Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) Central East Division in one week.
The team started week two of the October Roadway Safety Initiative on Monday.
In week one they issued 330 tickets and gave 50 warnings to drivers within Oshawa, said the police.
Let’s all slow down and pay attention to other road users and road signs, it urged.
If you are going to forget to stop for stop signs it would be ideal to have your licence, current insurance and permit up to date … this act of inattention resulted in four charges #StopMeansStop #trafficsafety #traffic #community ^bb pic.twitter.com/9xUVK1KDzr

I’m glad that they’re out there ticketing drivers for not stopping at stop signs. We need more of those. So many drivers are completely ignoring stop signs, speed limits and other traffic regulations.
