Higher density amendment passed for 156-unit building

A by-law to allow the building of 180 units per hectare on lands municipally known as 126, 136, 142 and 148 Townline Road North, was passed by Oshawa City Council on June 22.

The effect of the by-law is to allow a development of a 156-unit apartment building subject to special zoning regulations related to increased density, reduced yard depths, reduced landscaped open space, increased lot coverage, increased height and reduced parking.

Any appeal to the Zoning By-law may be made by filing a notice of appeal with the City Clerk.

The appeal should be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on July 14.

The key map shows the location of the lands to which the by-law applies.
