Lane restrictions in Clarington and Oshawa

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions and a two-day road closure on Newtonville Road (Regional Road 18) in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: September 7 to November 8. A two-day road closure will also be required in September at a date still to be determined. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Newtonville Road (Regional Road 18), from 0.8 kilometres south of Concession Road 6 to 1.1 kilometres north of Concession Road 6, in Clarington.

Why: Daily lane restrictions will be in place to safely complete road rehabilitation. The two-day road closure is required to facilitate cross-culvert replacements.

When: September 7 to 10 (daytime only). Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Adelaide Avenue West (Regional Road 58), from Gibbons Street to Nipigon Street, in Oshawa.

Why: To safely install water and sanitary services.

Note: The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
