Montreal night club shooter is a Clarington resident

Three people were in custody after two firearms were located during a search warrant at a Courtice residence.

On Sunday, September 3, a shooting occurred outside of a night club located in Montreal, Quebec. Through an investigation by Montreal Police (SVPM), the shooter was identified as a resident of Courtice. DRPS was contacted by Montreal police (SVPM) to conduct a joint investigation into the suspect, said a police statement.

On Wednesday, October 11, members of the Montreal Police (SVPM) and the DRPS Offender Management Unit with the assistance of the Central East Criminal Investigations Branch, and West Division Community Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Gord Vinson Avenue and Eastfield Crescent, in Courtice.

Inside the residence police located two firearms and ammunition. The primary suspect was arrested by police nearby. Another male and female were also taken into custody as a result of the search warrant.

All three were charged, but the female was released on an undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
