Durham Regional Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 24-year-old man following an attempted stabbing in Oshawa earlier this month.
On Sunday, June 1, around 10:30 pm, officers from Central West Division were called to the area of Steeplechase Street and Windfields Farm Drive after receiving a report of an armed person.
According to police, the suspect approached two individuals walking in the opposite direction, then pulled out a knife and attempted to stab one of them. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived but has since been identified. An arrest warrant has now been issued.
A 24-year-old man, of Oshawa is wanted. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
