Assisted-living home resident sexually assaulted by staff

A male staff member at a community assisted living home has been arrested for sexually assaulting a female client, police said yesterday.

On November 21, members of West Division responded to a sexual assault call at a community assisted living home located in the area of Duffin’s Bay near Westney Road South and Harwood Avenue South in Ajax.

The victim reported to a female staff member that a male staff member had sexually assaulted her on Monday, November 20. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect, age 63 from Brampton was charged and released on an undertaking. Name, photo and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Police have concerns that there may be more victims.
