Third police raid on persistent magic mushrooms retailer

Durham Police have executed a third search warrant regarding the sale of illegal psilocybin (magic mushroom) products at a business in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, December 13, members of the Central East Division Community Response Team executed a search warrant at a business located at Simcoe Street South in Oshawa. It had been observed selling illegal psilocybin (magic mushroom) products.

A female employee, age 51 from Whitby, was arrested inside the premise without incident. A quantity of narcotics and Canadian currency was seized, said a police statement.

She was charged and released on an undertaking. Names of business, suspect and further details available at www.drps.ca.

The shop had been raided on December 6 and 7, and three males were arrested earlier (see below).
