The Town of Whitby yesterday announced that the goose family that had been nesting in the town hall, has moved on.
Whitley, the mother goose who chose town hall as her nesting location hatched what appears to be five new goslings around 6 am Monday morning.
The town is in the process of contacting the prize pack winners who correctly guessed Monday as the due date. More than 200 people took part in the contest, said a town statement.
The town thanked everyone who followed Whitley’s journey on the goose cam.
Our feathered family has moved on!
Thanks to everyone who followed our mama goose's journey live on the Town's goose cam.
We wish mama, papa, and their five new goslings well as the new family makes its way. pic.twitter.com/sgFhjOJIuH
